How about a Face?

Well....didn't have much luck at the booth on Friday - we figured it was too much competition. The fair and other things considered... At least we didn't get rained out! Saturday I went to help my sister-in-law with her booth at the Ogden Valley Arts and Balloon festival...it was crazy. I set up my paint, but only about 2 people looked at my stuff. Everyone wanted their face painted!! (which is what my sister-in-law does) So, I ended up jumping in and helping do faces. It was actually really fun! I think I could do this...lol This little girl was my first attempt at the butterfly she wanted. She liked it... ;) I spent most of the day doing butterflies, flowers, tigers... you can see my painting in the background, lol. One girl toward the end of the evening wanted to have her face painted like an owl. Had to invent that one. Showed her a stuffed one I happened to snap with my phone just the day before, and she liked the idea. so, made her up. She liked it! S

New Book Coming!

I'm so excited!! Anaiah Press is going to publish Dear Maddie! It still feels unreal. As soon as I know what the cover looks like, I'll post it here. Be sure and check out my website for information as well. :)

New website is up!!

I'm so excited about this new venture in life... I'm going to be doing paint parties! I've started a new business called Art Splash. Here's the site... https://www.gparkerartwork.com You can click on the pages to see the paintings you can sign up to do. I'm excited - I'm hoping everyone else is too. :) I did a painting up in Island Park...but decided it needs work and I need to redo. sigh. I'm excited for some of the opportunities this summer though - I'm doing the Stroll Kaysville in August to promote my paintings, and again in September. So if you are in the area on the second Thursday of the month, come find us and say hi! We're hoping to be in the same spot we were this month - just a couple of booths down from Dylans on Main Street.
